Mobile or Cellular Data Feature

Wireless Connection
Personal Hotspot - Router (Allow the device to be used as a Router for many other device to share mobile data)
Bluetooth - To allow 2 mobile devices to be connected and communicate wirelessly (example iPhone and speakers)
WiFi - Internet (allow your PC to tap into your mobile data to surf internet)

How to save Mobile/Cellular Data?
When the apps are opened, it will continue to use mobile data behind the background (esp map and GPS apps)
Saving Mobile Data
1) Turn off Wifi Assist (Settings - Mobile Data - Scroll all the way down - Wi-Fi Assist - Turn off
2) Swift away all the opened app that is not used. (Double click on Home button - Swift away app)
3) Turn off (toggle off) app that you think you are least using mobile data (Settings - Mobile Data - Scroll to the app that you want to turn off mobile data usage)
4) Always check that the location you are is wifi ready, switch to wifi by observing the wifi icon. Ask for wifi password if possible
5) Turn off your Personal Hotspot so that other people or other devices are not sharing the mobile data.

6) Turn off Mobile Data auto Roaming (Settings - Mobile Data - Mobile Data Options - Data Roaming - Toggle off)

How to set up iPhone Hotspot or Tethering on iPhone 8 and above

Using Hotspot or Tethering is allowing more than 1 device sharing wifi are mobile data
The medium used can be
- wifi (it is to connect to internet using mobile phone mobile data)
- Blue tooth (it is connecting 2 mobile devices so that they can communicate
- USB cable connection
Hotspot/Tethering is the feature (it is treating the mobile phone as a router for multiple devices to tap into the mobile data of this device)
Blue tooth/wifi/USB are communication means/channel

Paring iPhone and Window PC using Bluetooth

Let your PC use your Mobile Data from your iPhone so that they can be connected wirelessly

At the iPhone
- Turn on Mobile Data
- Turn on Personal Hotspot

At the PC, turn on Wifi and key in Pass word
Click on the bottom-right of the signal bar - WiFi - toggle on - (Look at iPhone make sure it is at the Personal Hotspot page where you can see the auto suggested password) - Click off then click on (WiFi) - PC searching for Mobile Devices serving as Router - Click on the iPhone found in the list - Key in the auto suggested password to your PC - Connect - No - Connected

When successfully connected, your iPhone will show a blue strip on top to tell you Personal Hotspot 1 connected


Paring 2 or more Devices using Bluetooth so that they can be connected wirelessly

At the iPhone
- Turn on Bluetooth

At the iPhone
- Turn on Mobile Data
- Turn on Bluetooth

This is the procedure for Window 8 (Bluetooth)
At the Window PC /  Laptop
- Turn on Bluetooth (follow the following procedure)
Window icon on keyboard - Search settings - PC Settings - Wireless Device - Bluetooth - toggle on - (on the same page) Add Devices - Add or remove devices - Click Bluetooth on the left - PC search for devices (make sure you go back to iPhone and ensure iPhone is at Bluetooth setting page in order for the PC to find the iPhone) - Select Device or iPhone in the list - Compare PIN on your computer and iPhone (must be the same) - Click YES on PC (at the same time) Click Pair on iPhone - (it will take a while) Connected
