Crescendo: Gradually getting louder

Phrasing
Legato: Notes connected: smooth and flowing in manner, without breaks between notes without taking a breath in between notes
Staccato is a form of musical articulation. In modern notation, it signifies a note of shortened duration, separated from the note that may follow by silence.

Italian Musical Terms

Remember, there is often more than one way to pronounce some words. The examples given here are just one suggested pronunciation.

al; alla			in the manner of	eg: alla marcia = in the style of a march

alt			high	"in alt" is used in volcal music to refer to notes in the octave above the treble stave.

arioso			like an aria	Play in the style of an aria (singing)
